Galapagos Islands

An archipelago of volcanic islands which lie 563 miles off the coast of Ecuador. These islands are known for the large number of species studied by Charles Darwin including fur seals, iguanas, sea lions, whales, marine turtles, blue-footed boobies and so many more. The islands are straddled on the equator with them in both the northern and southern hemispheres. A wonderful destination for scuba diving and snorkeling as well, filled with turtles, sharks, manta rays and colorful reef fish.
